A prayer for the nations

Father of mercies, God of all comfort,

You spoke and the worlds were made.

You spoke and Your Word became flesh.

You spoke and the Scriptures were given to Your Church.

Now by the power of the Holy Spirit,

speak through these ministries

to the hearts You are drawing,

in the languages You have given,

in the nations that groan for Your coming.

Make Your Word a lamp to the feet of the young,

a rock to the feet of the old,

a sword in the hand of the persecuted,

a feast at the table of the poor,

a light in the prisons of the oppressed.

We do not build for our name.

We build for the Name that is above every name.

May Jesus Christ be glorified

in every verse rendered,

in every heart reached,

in every tongue redeemed,

in every generation yet unborn

until He comes again.

In the Name of the Father,

and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit,
